Drenched with different thick, gooey, curry sauces and braised pork sauce, it is a delightful mix of tastes in every mouthful. But why is it called \u2018Hainanese Scissors Curry Rice\u2019? The original stall at Telok Ayer market started in the 1930\u2019s and in those days, there were a lot of gang fights around. Whenever a fight broke out, they would reach for the cleaver used for cutting the food at the stall.
